The American Peace Corps organized an official ceremony to swear-in 64 new volunteers on May 6, 2016, at the Ambassador’s residence in Senegal.

The new volunteers, who just finished language, cultural and technical training, heard from Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the United States in Senegal Sandra Clark, and in the presence of Oumar Samba Ba, the General Secretary of the Presidency as well as Cheryl Faye, the Director of Peace Corps Senegal.

41 volunteers will work in public health and 25 on economic development.

More than 240 volunteers are currently in Senegal.
