The Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy to Senegal released a Notice of Funding Opportunity open to local Senegalese organizations and associations, to fund projects that build practical skills among Senegalese youth.
The deadline for applications is December 15, 2015. Projects selected for funding should start between January 15 and May 31, 2016. Allowable budgets will range between $500 and $10,000.
The Public Affairs Section is specifically looking to fund cultural, educational, athletic, and environmental projects focused on developing skills among Senegalese youth ages 15-35 in the areas of Leadership, Civic Engagement and Volunteerism, Entrepreneurship or Science and Technology. Priority will be given to projects that support the following audiences:
- Young women and girls
- Youth from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds
- Youth living in under-served regions of Senegal
- Disabled youth
