Health Alert: U.S. Embassy Dakar (June 12, 2020)
Location: Senegal (countrywide)
Event: Overseas voting assistance
Routine operations at U.S. Embassy Dakar, including ballot collection, have been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will notify U.S. citizens via Health Alert when we are again able to accept ballots. You may want to consider returning your ballot via a private courier service or international mail if the deadline for return of your ballot is near.
All U.S. citizens can receive their blank ballots electronically. Depending on the state in which you are eligible to vote, you may get your ballot by email, fax, or internet download. For more details, please visit https://sn.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/voting/.
Monitor our Embassy webpage on COVID-19 for information on conditions in Senegal. The U.S. Embassy remains open for emergency American Citizen Services. Please contact us by email at DakarACS@state.gov.
