Security Message for U.S. Citizens: Embassy Personnel Travel Restrictions

Due to the current political instability in the region, U.S. Embassy personnel have

been restricted from travelling within 50 miles of the Senegal- The Gambia border

and have been advised to avoid military bases and troop transports. This

restriction will remain in place until January 26, 2017. The U.S. Embassy’s ability

to assist U.S. citizens in these areas may be limited.
