To Hold “National Security Strategy Development” workshop in Dakar
Opening ceremony on August 6 at 08h00 at the Radisson Blu HotelDakar
The Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS) at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. will host a five-day workshop on the principles and practice of national security strategy development and implementation in Africa. This workshop will provide a forum for a multidisciplinary group of senior government officials from 21 West African countries to consider appropriate definitions, methodology, processes, and mechanisms for the development and implementation of national security strategies. Officials from the U.S. Departments of Defense and State, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), the African Union, and the Regional Economic Communities (RECs) will also attend.
